In Honor of the Teachers, Guides & Mentors Who Have Shaped My Work

Amir Khalighi

Amir Khalighi is the founder of Embodied Masculine™ (EmbodiedMasculine.com), a global community that supports empowering and connecting men to their highest sense of self, the natural world, and in living purpose-driven lives.  His work with men started at the age of 23. Through his 20s and 30s, he worked with hundreds of men centered around shadow work, addictive behaviors, and also through the discipline of martial arts.  Subsequently, his work has evolved and now encompasses Jungian archetypal psychology, somatic, shamanic, and embodiment methodologies.  His passion for men’s work has been most influenced by mythopoetic men’s work, Sufi mysticism, yogic intimacy, Celtic mythology, Shamanism, and Hermetic Qabalah.

He is a men’s coach, speaker, teacher, husband, and father to 4 daughters. He also founded  BelovedPoetry.com, an online space dedicated to sharing the original rendered works of such Masters of love as Rumi, Hafez, Kabir, Neruda, and more.

Jordan Mockingbird

Mockingbird - headshot.jpg

Jordan is a devoted practitioner of the shamanic healing arts and a teacher dedicated to the medicine path. His initiations first came through a decade of gnostic studies in Asia. After confronting severe illness, Jordan shed a career as a producer to walk the road of personal transformation, finding his medicine in shamanic study of plants. trees, breath and fasting. The “plant dieting” practices of the Amazon have radically transformed Jordan’s life, vision, health and purpose. Mockingbird is the name and blessing given by his Apache mentor to begin teaching through ceremony. He holds a facilitator certification from Embodied Masculine. â€‹

His passion lies in helping human beings awaken to The Old Way. To him, this means a remembrance of ancestral power and our innate spirituality, passed down through our bodily inheritance. Living up to this ancestral dharma is never easy, but the journey is absolutely worth it.

He is an artist, a medicine man, a teacher, and an eternal novice. He is here to dance, inviting others to join him in the journey. Together, they might learn something, and hopefully, share a good laugh while embracing their own absurdity. He serves the nameless creator spirit of unity.

Shri Amir Mourad

Shri Amir Mourad is an Egyptian-Canadian yogi, mystic, and spiritual teacher. Having faced severe depression, an overwhelming fear of death, along with increasing awareness of the realities of human suffering, he began his search for enlightenment in hopes of finding a new way of being.

He began by studying various traditions such as Advaita Vedanta, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Taoism, ancient Egyptian religion, as well as Western philosophy. Having found that with this increase of knowledge this did not dispel his uncertainties but only added to his confusion, he eventually discovered that the gathering of theoretical knowledge is insufficient for man’s liberation, nor can there be freedom or morality without true self-knowledge.

Hungry for spiritual knowledge, he became initiated into an esoteric mystery school of the Golden Dawn. After having risen through the grades of the Order, he became dissatisfied with the teachings, feeling that they were too enamored with superstitious thinking.

He later abandoned the society and continued his search. He then sought the guidance of yoga master Sri Madan Bali who initiated him into methods of yoga and offered him a firm foundation of discipline, knowledge, and spiritual practice. Having learned much that he could from Sri Madan Bali, he eventually also found himself discontented as the teachings did not provide the liberation that he was seeking. He then decided to continue down his path living as a hermit to continue deepening his practice. Find out more at (ShunyaYoga.com)
